Web entrepreneur, Michael Evans, is pleased to announce the launch of his latest business venture. Created in December 2010, the website grants customers access to incredible lead crystal and lead-free crystal stemware, specially crafted to augment the flavor and aroma of various wines.
I’ve always had an understanding in my own mind that it’s important to drink beverages from the appropriate glass,” said Evans. “Back home in England I often decanted a wine before drinking, and used crystal wine glasses.
The shape and size of a wine glass affects the bouquet, taste, balance, and finish of wines. Riedel was the first company to recognize this phenomenon and produced Riedel Sommeliers and Riedel Sommeliers Black Tie as a result. Customers can purchase wine glasses specially made for Bordeaux, Chardonnay, Champagne, and more. Ravenscroft focuses on the magnification of bouquets, and is well-known for their Amplifier Collection. Other Ravenscroft lines available through the site are the European Collection, Distiller Collection, and Invisibles Collection.
Before a drop of wine is poured into an amplifier, it should first be properly decanted. Decanting wine separates sediments and increases oxygenation, which opens up aromas and improves overall clarity. The coveted Amadeo Lyra decanter, produced in honor of Riedel’s 250th anniversary, is mouth blown by senior master craftsmen, and is sure to stand the test of time.
Of his website Evans said, “I think the images and descriptions are as good as any you can find out there. Customers get a sense of which glass should be used for which particular wine.”
Evans has decades of personal experience in the beverage business. He previously worked for Arthur Guinness Brewery abroad and in the U.S., presided over an Oklahoma beer company, and formed his own distribution company in Texas that sold esoteric malt beverages, wines and spirits.
This site’s newly formed blog, serves as a platform for customers to learn the ins and outs of using specially designed crystal stemware. From proper serving amounts to the specifics of various glasses, novice and connoisseurs alike can learn a trick or two about enjoying a beautiful bouquet.

Very interesting points. Thanks!
It’s hard to find knowledgeable people on this topic, but you sound like you know what you’re talking about! Thank you for this article!
Best regards Alex
Hey hey!! This is a greatwebsite here and I just wanted to comment &and say that you’ve done a great job here! Very nice choice of colors & layout, very easy on the eyes.. Nicely done!…
Decanting information is always good for wine consumers to have. It is better to understand the process of decanting wine and the reasons for doing so a wine drinker can better appreciate the use of a decanter. While I would consider myself a novice to the wine world, I do love to try and experience wines when given the chance. My friends and I have committed a night each month to go wine tasting or purchase a new bottle of wine for all of us to try and discuss our likes and dislikes and with this article we can now incorporate decanting our wine(s) prior to consumption.
